- LLCs, S-Corporations, and Partnerships
- Real estate investors
Rora CPA specializes in clients who value proactive planning, clarity, and accurate
compliance—not just last-minute filing.
Do you work with clients remotely?
Yes. Rora CPA serves clients nationwide using secure, cloud-based systems. Document sharing,
signatures, and meetings can all be completed virtually, making the process efficient and
convenient.
What accounting software do you use?
We primarily work with QuickBooks Online, but we can also review and assist with other
accounting platforms depending on your needs.
How does Rora CPA price its services?
Our fees are based on the complexity and scope of work, not hourly billing. Pricing is discussed
upfront and clearly outlined in an engagement letter before work begins—no surprises.
Do you offer consultations?
Yes. Initial consultations are available to assess fit, scope, and next steps. Any consultation fees will
be communicated in advance.
How do I get started?
Simply contact us through our website or by email. We’ll schedule an initial conversation, outline
recommended services, and send an engagement letter to begin.
What documents do I need to get started?
Once engaged, Rora CPA will provide a customized checklist based on your situation. Generally,
this includes prior-year tax returns, income documents, and access to accounting records, if
applicable.
How long will it take to complete my return after all information is received?
Once all required information is received, the process generally takes one to two weeks. Your
return is prepared and then reviewed line-by-line by a senior team member to ensure accuracy. If
additional information is needed, we’ll contact you promptly. Once finalized, your return will be
sent electronically for review and signature via DocuSign.
Do you offer tax planning or just tax preparation?
At Rora CPA, we believe tax preparation should follow tax planning. We offer proactive tax
planning services to help clients:
- Reduce tax liability
- Plan for major life or business changes
- Avoid surprises at filing time
What is e-filing?
Electronic tax filing (e-filing) is the secure transmission of completed tax returns to the Internal
Revenue Service and applicable state tax authorities. E-filing eliminates the need for paper
submissions and allows for faster processing.
Do I have to e-file my tax return?
Yes. Under the Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009, the IRS requires
professional tax preparers to electronically file tax returns. The Massachusetts Department of
Revenue has enforced this requirement for several years. E-filing is faster, more efficient, and more
accurate than paper filing.
What is the purpose of e-file authorization forms?
Before electronically filing your return, the IRS and state tax agencies require signed authorization
forms. These forms allow Rora CPA to submit your return on your behalf. We provide these forms
via DocuSign so you can sign securely from the comfort of your home.
What if my e-filed return is rejected?
Occasionally, a return may be rejected by the e-file system for various reasons. We handle these
situations on a case-by-case basis. If the issue cannot be resolved electronically, we will prepare and
mail a paper return to the IRS and/or state agency at no additional charge.
When do I have to pay any taxes I owe?
Any tax balance due is payable by April 15, regardless of when your return is filed or whether an
extension is submitted.
How can I check the status of my refund?
∙Federal refund: Visit www.irs.gov or call 1-800-829-4477
∙State refund: Visit your state’s Department of Revenue or Treasury website
If you need assistance, you may email ladhanom@roracpa.com.
How will I receive my completed tax return?
You will receive an electronic copy of your completed tax return through Rora CPA’s secure client
portal. If you prefer a hard copy, arrangements can be made upon request.
What payment methods does Rora CPA accept?
We accept Zelle and all major credit cards.
What happens if I have questions regarding my return?
If you have any questions, you may email ladhanom@roracpa.com or call (202) 938-3677. Our
team is happy to assist and provide clarity at every step.
